The advertising campaign for home watches features the ranges encapsulated in blocks of ice. Using this as inspiration, Camouflage designed a simple linear ice-block piece to encapsulate the 3 collections. The unit had to be secure and accessible to staff without disturbing the purity of the cube. This was achieved with small unobtrusive acrylic details which kept the aesthetic on brand as well as functional.
Watch counter concept evolution is particularly interesting as the design began as a much more literal representation of the ad-campaign which was unachievable in terms of cost and material quality.
An alternative design was a watch ‘home’. This design was made of 5 external frame pieces, 2 interior pieces and an acrylic front and back panel. The construction slots together without the need for fixings or glue and is completely flat packable.
